1964The first public share of SI HANDLING SYSTEMS, INC. is issued.
1971To round out its order selection business, SI acquires the Tilt Tray / Gull Wing Sorter, a high-speed, high-volume sortation machine. SI develops software to better integrate equipment and orders processing.
SI again expands its capabilities with the acquisition of the Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) group from BT Systems of Europe.
1993SI/Baker Inc. is formed as a joint venture to provide automated prescription fulfillment systems.
1996SI HANDLING SYSTEMS creates the Gantry Robotic Order Picking System for medium volume SKUs. SI enters an exclusive license agreement with Seattle Film Works to use their mail sortation technology for order fulfillment applications. The U.S. government awards SI Handling Systems the Red River Army Depot installation, the company’s largest government contract.
SI HANDLING SYSTEMS, INC. is named one of the world’s Top 20 Material Handling Systems Suppliers. SI obtains ISO 9001 certification.
2002PARAGON trademarks SINTHESIS,® a real-time software solution that optimizes planning, warehousing, inventory management, routing, order fulfillment and distribution. Warehouse Distribution Optimizer™, PARAGON’s proprietary software suite, is trademarked. This software analyzes all of the order picking systems in a distribution center in real time.
2013SI SYSTEMS, LLC acquires Innovative Automation to expand on its warehouse management and controls software and receives patent for Mobile-matic™.
