Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote 4,200 Orders/Hour ZERO Picking Labor
The Dispen-SI-matic® Pick-To-Tote A-Frame is an automated order picking system designed to process a high volume of split case orders with minimal labor and cost. The Pick-To-Tote A-Frame, which straddles a conveyor, has channels on both sides that store product. Each channel is equipped with a 24-volt DC electric dispenser which ejects the product from the stack in the channel onto the conveyor or directly into order totes.
Whether it’s a standalone machine or part of a larger integrated distribution system, the Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame is a flexible order picking system that is easily configured to a variety of situations. The width of each channel may be adjusted to fit an assortment of product sizes and double-wide or extra-long dispensers are available for larger products. Multiple dispensers are provided for the fastest moving items.
Automated Dispenser High-Volume Split Case Order Picking
For extremely high-volume split case order picking, the Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame can be arranged in a pick-to-totes configuration. Product is stacked in channels straddling a conveyor. Items are gently dispensed directly into shipping cartons or order totes that travel along the conveyor. Variable belt speed, unique to the Dispen-SI-matic A-Frame, adds the ability to pick multiple items from one channel as required by order profile.
Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame Replenishment
With a Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame, product replenishment is simple and can be done without interruption to the picking process itself. When product quantities are diminished, operators simply reload the channels with the appropriate items. There are a variety of tools available to assist in the replenishment process including voice- and RF-directed replenishment and “low level” indicators.
Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame Controls
The entire Dispen-SI-matic Pick-to-Tote A-Frame system is managed by the Dispen-SI-matic Pick Director (DPD) which directs the order retrieval, fulfillment, distribution and replenishment processes. The DPD is a standalone, off the shelf, Windows based system with a simple interface and a wide range of host systems to receive orders and upload post picked information. It also interfaces with the dispensers’ microprocessors to control all picking activities, monitor performance and print useful reports.
